2017

My concentration was hands in art. I wanted to show the diversity in art. When most people think of art as just drawing or painting but it is not. Its music, dance, ceramics. I wanted to point his out to everyone. I thought it was an important idea. I varied my mediums thought my 12 pieces just to restate the idea of diversity in art.

 

2018

My concentrated area focused on repetition and pattern with a progression from contour line and design to realistic paintings. I started with paint pens which allowed me to get straight bright lines, to pastels, allowing a graphic cartoon style, to acrylic paint which allowed for blending and a realistic style. Line and pattern are more prominent throughout the beginning of the progression while the final pieces focus more on color and texture.
